DIGITAL ARTWORK ON SAFARI 2019, COMBINATION OF COLOURS YELLOW BLACK ORANGE

Creativity Inspired by Life Inspired by Design

My Friends and Colleagues call me Sid for short. My journey to becoming a visual fine artist, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Digital Artist, Textile designer and T-Shirt Designer stated when I was very young and has been an interesting journey.

With the many years of drawing still life’s, Plants, Flowers, Landscapes, The body, faces and designs has helped me develop a way of working allowing me to create my own original art from many fields in art and design that I have learned.

I like to research, sketch, read and meditate before I begin a project. I will use a combination of expressions from my emotions, feelings, energy mixed with speed together with a momentum as I begin creating and applying Chance like marks at times, Crafting lines and shapes with layers of blended colours aiming for a more interesting picture composition.

I will work on the piece as it evolves, at times, I enjoy the not knowing more to seeing what manifests. I work in series and create single, unique pieces, that look great in most settings.

My art work at current can be described as abstract art, abstract surrealism, abstract expressionism, which I work in different mediums and mix media in various sizes, which continues to evolve and develop.

My photographic work explores and captures the mystery of light and how light changes the same environment and my fascination of natures beauty and sites of the world outside my own realty searching and discovering moments in time. The camera gives me this opportunity to capture images and freeze time which I can analyse, after which I offer as prints in a wide range of sizes.

My Digital art is a combination of typography, texts, words, fonts, a wide spectrum of colours, photos, manipulated pictures, mixed with my own creative artistic language to produce variations of images for prints.

I harness a wide range of skills acquired over the years from painting and decorating, building skills both interior and exterior and working with wood, metal and welding.  Being multi-traded has made it easy for me to approach installation art and form three-dimensional objects to transform a space conceptually.

My passions and energies have come from the life I’ve lived, the many paths taken, my experiences and love for life, the many different people I’ve met and learned from, my family, friends, my wonderful daughter, relationships and those from the entertainment and music industry along with my love, excitement, energy for sports and the many amazing teachers and their input and guidance.

World History has been a source of much inspiration and fascination. Hearing about the many Prophets and Prophet Muhammad and his Companions at a young age, teachings that have echoed through time to reach my life and benefited me giving me another way in life which has had an amazing positive impact on my life persevering from stage to stage as my destiny unfolds as an Artist and Designer.

I have diverse interests, and I have always been inquisitive, I enjoy learning new things, I like to travel, l love to read, I derive much inspiration from movies documentaries and music, I enjoy learning about science, technology, psychology, different religions and cultures which have been very informative in affirming that of an intelligence behind creation, a Fashioner, a Designer, a Maker, an Originator, which has taken me on many a quest to comprehend and to know who this force is that has made us all with which I find fascinating.

I frequently go to many London Galleries such as the Tate Britain, Tate Modern, The National Gallery, The British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Royal Academy of Arts, Whitechapel gallery which benefits my practice and perspective. I always like the exhibition aspect of my field,  the atmosphere of meeting new people and the conversations.

Visiting the Louvre in Paris and seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the last supper and visiting an exhibition of Picasso’s many works at the Tate Britain in London and attending a graphic design conference in New York has added to my purpose as an artist and designer.

Art has enriched my life with much knowledge and meaning as I continue to learn and grow, developing my gifts, talents and skills in producing Art to inspire, touch, heal and uplift for one's pleasure, satisfaction adding meaning and enrichment to our world.

I offer my art works for sale for those who like my artworks and designs which can also be collected, displayed in one's businesses and offices, hotels, hospitals, and be displayed in all your spaces making your establishment and homes more inviting and can be given as a gift to loved ones from a wide variety of images to chose from with a range of prices both original art and as prints on quality papers and canvas prints.
